Forward Deployed Engineer (AI)

Location: Paris, France; hybrid, with staff expected to be in an Anthropic office at least 25% of the time. Frequent travel to customer sites is expected at 25–50%.

What you will do

• Build production applications with Claude models inside customer systems.
• Deliver technical artifacts such as MCP servers, sub-agents, and agent skills for production workflows.
• Support enterprise deployments of Anthropic products and maintain high standards for safety and reliability.
• Identify and codify repeatable deployment patterns and share insights with Product and Engineering.
• Develop long-term customer relationships and identify new AI deployment opportunities.
• Travel 25–50% to customer sites and represent Anthropic’s mission in the field.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in a technical, customer-facing role, such as Forward Deployed Engineer or Software Engineer with consulting experience.
• Native French and fluent English proficiency.
• Production experience with LLMs, including advanced prompt engineering, agent development, evaluation frameworks, and deployment at scale.
• Strong programming skills with proficiency in Python and experience shipping production applications.
• Ability to work autonomously, navigate ambiguity, collaborate across organizations, and communicate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, and professional experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with TypeScript, Java, or other programming languages.
• Background in financial services, healthcare, life sciences, or another enterprise vertical.
• Experience with enterprise IT systems or AI deployment patterns.
• Former technical founder experience.
