Senior Forward Deployed Engineer - Senior Architect (Data & AI)

Location: London, United Kingdom — Hybrid; travel to customers required 20% of the time.

What you will do

• Lead customer technical projects, delivering production-grade data and AI systems, reference architectures, custom applications, and data ingestion solutions.
• Design, build, and deploy end-to-end big data and AI applications for strategic enterprise customers.
• Own architecture and design decisions, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with platform best practices.
• Embed with customer teams, guide architecture and implementation, and translate complex challenges into actionable solutions.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineering, product, customer support, and customer stakeholders.
• Create reusable accelerators, frameworks, and best practices that scale across accounts and inform the product roadmap.

Requirements

• Experience in data engineering, data platforms and analytics, software engineering, or full-stack development.
• Ability to write production code in Python, Scala, JavaScript, or TypeScript using modern frameworks.
• Working knowledge of at least two cloud ecosystems among AWS, Azure, and GCP, with expertise in one.
• Deep distributed-computing experience with Apache Spark, including knowledge of Spark runtime internals.
• Experience with CI/CD, MLOps, ML/AI models and APIs, and production end-to-end data architectures.
• Experience delivering technical projects for enterprise clients, managing scope and timelines, documenting solutions, and handling broad stakeholder groups.
