Legal Counsel (AI)

Location: Amsterdam, North Holland, Netherlands

Salary: €70,000–€100,000 base salary per year, plus variable pay

What you will do

• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage commercial contracts across their full lifecycle.
• Handle corporate housekeeping, including board and shareholder resolutions and meetings.
• Support entity setup, corporate restructuring, and corporate optimisation projects with internal teams and external advisors.
• Advise on privacy, intellectual property, artificial intelligence, legal technology, new products, and emerging markets.
• Partner with Compliance, Risk, Finance, and Business Development on cross-functional projects.
• Track relevant legislation, advise on its business impact, and build legal risk awareness across the organisation.

Requirements

• Law degree from the EU, UK, or US.
• 3–5 years of post-graduation legal experience in private practice and/or a regulated financial services legal function.
• Proven experience drafting contracts from scratch, negotiating commercial terms, and managing stakeholder expectations.
• Experience with corporate housekeeping, including board and shareholder resolutions and meetings.
• Experience or affinity with entity setup across jurisdictions, corporate restructuring, and tax optimisation projects.
• Comfort using AI tools in day-to-day legal work and helping develop controlled legal technology practices.
