TL;DR
Senior Software Engineer (Python/Kubernetes): Building backend services, APIs, automation, and operational tooling for Toptracer’s large-scale Kubernetes platform with an accent on distributed systems, Linux, infrastructure, and deployment automation. Focus on designing scalable provisioning workflows, removing operational bottlenecks, and shaping architecture while solving complex challenges across software, infrastructure, and physical devices.
Location: Hybrid, with the primary workplace at the office in Danderyd, Stockholm, Sweden

develops golf-tracing technology for television broadcasts and gamification at golf ranges, with products developed, tested, and deployed from its Stockholm R&D office.
What you will do
- Design and build backend services, REST APIs, tools, and automation in Python.
- Develop systems for operating large-scale, self-managed and on-premises Kubernetes environments.
- Automate deployment, provisioning, and infrastructure lifecycle management.
- Solve operational challenges through software and improve developer productivity.
- Contribute to platform architecture, deployment strategies, engineering practices, and technical direction.
- Collaborate with software, infrastructure, and operations engineers while mentoring colleagues and sharing knowledge.
Requirements
- Several years of backend software development experience, particularly with Python.
- Experience designing maintainable services, APIs, tooling, and automation for Linux environments.
- Strong Kubernetes experience, including self-managed or on-premises environments.
- Experience with Docker, containerized applications, AWS, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of infrastructure automation, distributed systems, and interactions between software and underlying platforms.
- Ability to contribute to architecture and technical strategy while remaining hands-on with coding and mentoring.
Nice to have
- Experience with Flask, FastAPI, Django, PostgreSQL, GitOps, or Argo CD.
- Experience with automated testing strategies, agile teams, Scrum Master responsibilities, or blue/green deployments.
