TL;DR
Software Engineer - Securities Operations (PL/SQL/Avaloq Script): Developing and maintaining solutions for securities trading, transaction reporting, settlement, reconciliation, and corporate actions with an accent on database technologies, solution design, and client collaboration. Focus on optimizing existing functionality, building automated tests, and solving complex technical and business problems in an agile environment.
Location: 16th Floor, AIA Tower, 8767 Paseo de Roxas, 1226 Makati City, Philippines; hybrid and flexible working arrangement

What you will do
- Develop software in PL/SQL and Script for securities trading, transaction reporting, settlement, reconciliation, and corporate actions modules.
- Design, develop, maintain, improve, and optimize product functionality and technical solutions.
- Write solution designs and review them with technical leads and architects.
- Participate in client workshops and support business analysts with requirements analysis.
- Collaborate with the Team Lead, Product Owner, Business Analysts, and Software Engineers in an agile environment.
- Develop and maintain automated tests and take ownership of the assigned area of expertise.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of relevant software development experience.
- Strong knowledge of database technologies, SQL, and Oracle PL/SQL.
- Knowledge of Java programming.
- Structured, autonomous, conceptual, and analytical approach to complex technical and business problems.
- Willingness to understand business needs and deliver clean designs and high-quality code.
Nice to have
- Experience in the financial industry or with securities trading.
- Experience with other trading system IT vendors.
- University degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Knowledge of FIX, SWIFT MT, or MX/ISO 20022 standards for securities trading.
