Senior Software Engineer - Securities Operations

Location: Hybrid and flexible working in Makati City, Philippines

What you will do

• Design, develop, maintain, improve, and optimize software solutions for securities operations.
• Develop features for securities trading, transaction reporting, securities settlement, reconciliation, and corporate actions.
• Write solution designs and review them with technical leads and architects.
• Participate in client workshops and support business analysts with requirements analysis.
• Develop and maintain automated tests and contribute to software quality assurance.
• Collaborate with team leads, product owners, business analysts, software engineers, and related teams in an agile environment.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant software development experience.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and Oracle PL/SQL.
• Knowledge of Java; Python, C++, or similar languages is valuable.
• Ability to understand business needs and produce clean designs and high-quality code.
• Strong conceptual and analytical skills with a structured and autonomous approach to complex technical and business problems.
• Experience working with agile processes and ticketing platforms such as Jira.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services or securities trading.
• Experience with other trading system IT vendors.
• University degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Knowledge of FIX, SWIFT MT, or MX (ISO 20022) standards.
