hirify.global is an international, curiosity-driven research organisation providing laboratory animal resources and scientific services to investigators.

What you will do

• Provide daily care, welfare checks, feeding, and husbandry for aquatic and other laboratory species, including jellyfish, Nematostella, soil microbes, and laboratory fish.
• Monitor environmental conditions and clean and maintain living environments.
• Perform basic experimental procedures and maintain accurate, up-to-date records.
• Provide technical and experimental support to scientists using laboratory animals in research.
• Follow hirify.global regulations and policies governing the use of animals and other species in research.
• Participate in the weekend duty rotation and report to the Marine Facility Supervisor.

Requirements

• Experience in a similar facility, preferably in a marine or aquatic environment.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a complex environment.
• Flexibility, a positive attitude toward learning, and the ability to follow instructions with strong attention to detail.
• Good interpersonal skills and basic computer skills.
• Ability to communicate in English in a professional environment.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of German.
