Field Service Engineer / Technician (Vacuum Technology)

Location: Japan, based at the customer centers in Yokohama or Osaka; mostly on-site travel within the designated service area, with home office possible when necessary

What you will do

• Conduct planned and ad hoc customer visits to inspect, service, troubleshoot, and repair technical systems.
• Diagnose issues and take preventive action to reduce equipment downtime.
• Install equipment and verify compliance with safety requirements.
• Document service activities and provide recommendations to customers.
• Act as the on-site contact, responding promptly to customer needs.
• Report to the Operations Manager as part of the Customer Center Service team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent skills.
• Native-level Japanese and business-level English.
• Valid driver’s license.
• IT skills including MS Office, Excel data aggregation, SAP, and HRIS.
• Availability for frequent travel and on-site customer support within the designated area.
