Project Procurement Manager (MedTech) (Strategic Procurement/NPI): Leading procurement activities for global new product introduction projects from concept through serial production with an accent on sourcing strategy, supplier performance, cost, quality, delivery, and risk management. Focus on coordinating international projects, negotiating with suppliers, building resilient supply chains, and driving procurement readiness across regulated healthcare manufacturing.
Location: Saalfeld, Thuringia, Germany; hybrid work with an expected on-site presence of approximately three days per week

What you will do
- Lead procurement activities for global New Product Introduction projects from concept through serial production.
- Manage complex sourcing projects covering cost, quality, delivery performance, risk, and procurement readiness.
- Develop sourcing, supplier, and commodity strategies; lead supplier selection, RFQs, and commercial negotiations.
- Build resilient and sustainable supply chains, manage supplier performance, and drive risk mitigation initiatives.
- Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Operations, Logistics, Finance, Legal, project teams, and senior leadership.
- Improve procurement processes, tools, governance, compliance, and operational excellence across the organisation.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience in strategic procurement, project procurement, supply chain, or sourcing leadership.
- Experience with New Product Introduction, industrialisation, or large-scale manufacturing projects.
- Strong project management, analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder influence, and supplier negotiation skills.
- Business-level English and essential German language skills.
- Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Ability to work within complex international and matrix organisations.
Nice to have
- Experience in MedTech, healthcare, life sciences, or other regulated industries.
- Knowledge of SAP systems and procurement tools.
