Senior Engineer, Mechanical Engineering

Location: Hyvinkää, Finland; hybrid work with an average of 2–3 days per week in the Hyvinkää office. Occasional travel is required. Relocation support is not available; locally based candidates are prioritized.

What you will do

• Execute mechanical engineering tasks, including the design of heavy and light steel structures.
• Select standard and commercial components for delivery and product development projects.
• Ensure design quality, compliance with local and hirify.global requirements, and on-time completion.
• Lead product development and maintenance tasks by assigning work, tracking progress, and reporting to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with business lines, project teams, subcontractors, customers’ engineering departments, manufacturing, and assembly.
• Develop ways of working with NX and act as a key user.

Requirements

• More than 3 years of experience in mechanical engineering using AutoCAD, NX, or a similar program.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in mechanical engineering.
• Understanding of mechanical design, technical drawings, welding, and manufacturing processes.
• Fluent English.
• Attention to detail, strong collaboration skills, a hands-on attitude, and ownership of work.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with industry specifications.
• Experience with Teamcenter.
