Location: California, US; hybrid work with regular office visits required. Travel to other offices, test labs, and ODMs is also required. office locations include Carlsbad, Irvine, and Milpitas in California, and Richmond in Canada.
Salary: $170,000–$250,000 USD per year in the US; $170,000–$190,000 CAD per year in Canada, plus equity.

What you will do
- Define and execute the global regulatory compliance strategy in alignment with product roadmaps and business objectives.
- Build, lead, mentor, and grow the Regulatory Compliance team.
- Act as the senior subject matter expert for regulatory, radio, product safety, and EMC matters.
- Oversee standards identification, design-stage compliance reviews, risk analyses, product test plans, and international homologation.
- Manage carrier certification processes, including GCF and PTCRB, for cellular products.
- Represent with strategic accounts, suppliers, ODMs, test laboratories, certification bodies, and internal stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related technical field.
- At least 8 years of experience as a function head, with a successful track record of leading teams.
- Experience with consumer electronics or wireless products and product safety compliance standards and third-party certification processes.
- Working knowledge of configuration management practices, including BOMs, specifications, ECR/ECO/MCO, part numbers, and interchangeability rules.
- Strong analytical, organizational, program management, communication, and influencing skills.
- Ability to travel internationally several times per year.
Nice to have
- Experience with carrier certifications such as Verizon, AT&T, US Cellular, Z-Wave, ZigBee, or Telstra.
- Mandarin speaking ability.
