Operations Manager (AI)

What you will do

• Own multiple concurrent workstreams in partnership with founders, including planning, operational execution, and stakeholder communications.
• Build and maintain the industrial security function, including managing government facility access and clearance compliance.
• Partner with leadership to identify operational challenges and develop scalable processes for hiring, communication, and tool use.
• Act as surge support for operational demands and proactively identify risks across projects.
• Foster a company culture of collaboration and positivity while managing vendor engagements and office spaces.
• Engage with internal engineers to understand technical trade-offs and cultivate an AI-first mentality for internal processes.

Requirements

• Active DoD Secret clearance or higher required at time of hire.
• US citizenship required due to ITAR/EAR and government contract obligations.
• 2–5 years of experience in fast-paced startup environments, specifically venture-backed or government-adjacent sectors.
• Demonstrated expertise in building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Skilled in modern project management software and AI-enabled workflows.
• Must be based in New York, NY or Washington, DC.

Nice to have

• Active TS or TS/SCI clearance.
• Experience building or managing industrial security programs or government facility access.
• Experience working in or supporting classified environments.
