Location: Full-time onsite role in El Segundo, California, United States. Ability to travel 25–50% of the time. Applicants must be U.S. persons authorized to work in the United States and permitted to access export-controlled technology without an export license.

Salary: $119,000–$139,000 for Engineering II, $140,000–$179,000 for Senior, or $180,000–$232,000 for Principal, plus potential stock options and/or long-term cash awards.

hirify.global develops commercial space infrastructure, including in-orbit pharmaceutical processing payloads, reentry capsules, heat shields, and satellite buses, with facilities in El Segundo, Washington, DC, and Huntsville.

What you will do

  • Create and manage supplier quality frameworks and programs.
  • Lead supplier-facing quality activities for avionics commodities, including PCBAs, wire harnesses, connectors, avionics boxes, and complete avionics assemblies.
  • Provide DFM input and supplier-selection support during new product introduction and R&D projects.
  • Evaluate supplier capabilities, conduct audits, and assess manufacturing and quality-control processes.
  • Define supplier specifications, inspection requirements, and acceptance criteria with engineering and operations teams.
  • Investigate supplier quality issues, perform root-cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field such as electrical, mechanical, or aerospace engineering.
  • 3–6+ years of supplier quality engineering experience, preferably in aerospace, automotive, or other high-performance engineering industries.
  • Hands-on avionics hardware experience at the box, harness, or board level.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Knowledge of FMEA, DMAIC, 8D, engineering models, and drawings.
  • U.S. person status and authorization to work in the United States are required due to ITAR-controlled technology.

Nice to have

  • Expertise in PCB/PCBA manufacturing, mechanical machining, propulsion systems, or another relevant commodity.
  • Experience with supplier audits, capability evaluation, and supplier-quality improvement.
  • Knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, IPC-A-610, or IPC-J-STD standards.
  • Familiarity with space-system components, materials, quality requirements, and GD&T under ANSI Y14.5.
