Event Driven Research Analyst (Equity Research)

What you will do

• Evaluate and track special situations, including mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate actions.
• Identify and analyse upcoming events that may create investment opportunities.
• Provide real-time opinions on breaking news and conduct in-depth research on future events.
• Collaborate with senior analysts and traders on investment ideas and trading decisions.
• Perform stock valuation analysis across equity and options markets.
• Travel to company events and conferences as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher.
• At least 1 year of experience.
• Strong written, analytical, and financial research skills.
• Ability to prioritise and complete multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Self-starter with strong communication, learning, and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to work additional and flexible hours when necessary.

Nice to have

• CFA qualification or progress toward the CFA.
• Exposure to fundamental company research and event-driven analysis.
• Familiarity with trading environments and derivative products.
