Senior Linux Platform Development Engineer

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain internal platform services, APIs, automation frameworks, engineering tools, and self-service platforms.
• Develop scalable infrastructure services and distributed systems primarily with Python.
• Design, develop, and evolve global OpenStack and Kubernetes platforms, including services, integrations, operators, controllers, and automation frameworks.
• Create and maintain CI/CD, GitOps, infrastructure-as-code, observability, and automation solutions.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across Linux, networking, storage, virtualization, OpenStack, Kubernetes, and distributed systems.
• Contribute to platform architecture, engineering standards, technical governance, and technical direction.

Requirements

• Strong Linux engineering expertise, including kernel, networking, storage, virtualization, and production troubleshooting.
• Proven Python development and software engineering experience building automation frameworks, APIs, platform services, tooling, or infrastructure platforms.
• Hands-on OpenStack platform development experience, including architecture and engineering standards in large-scale environments.
• Extensive Kubernetes platform engineering experience, including production automation, operators, controllers, integrations, and platform services.
• Experience designing and operating large-scale distributed systems and custom-built infrastructure platforms in globally distributed engineering organizations.

Nice to have

• Experience building internal developer platforms, shared infrastructure services, self-service systems, or engineering productivity tools.
• Experience with multi-region architectures, hybrid cloud environments, or distributed storage platforms.
• Open-source contributions or experience using AI-assisted development tools for platform engineering and software delivery.
