Trading Systems Performance Engineer – EMO – Experienced Hire (C/C++)

What you will do

• Recreate complex low-latency trading topologies and scenarios in a dedicated laboratory environment.
• Design and execute testing scenarios with traders, trading researchers, quantitative researchers, FPGA developers, systems engineers, and network engineers.
• Analyze laboratory and production data from multiple sources and formats to investigate trading-system performance.
• Identify, recommend, implement, and drive optimizations in the production trading environment.
• Develop tools and drive testing automation to evaluate trading hypotheses and scenarios.
• Collaborate with external vendors on products, features, and technologies for ultra-low-latency trading.

Requirements

• Excellent software development, testing, troubleshooting, and analysis skills using C, C++, and C#.
• Extensive knowledge of computer internals, operating systems, and networking.
• Experience analyzing data in Python using Jupyter Notebooks.
• Experience with Python and PowerShell scripting.
• Strong motivation, attention to detail, clear communication, and curiosity about trading technologies.

Nice to have

• Experience in a low-latency trading environment.
• Practical knowledge of BGP, IGMP, PIM, Ethernet, IP, UDP, TCP, and LLDP.
• Experience with FPGAs and low-latency networking technologies such as Solarflare and kernel bypass.
• Knowledge or experience in data-center operations.
