Trading Systems Performance Engineer (Low Latency Trading)

What you will do

• Recreate complex low-latency trading topologies and scenarios in a dedicated laboratory environment.
• Design and execute lab testing scenarios with traders, trading and quantitative researchers, FPGA developers, and system and network engineers.
• Analyze production and laboratory network data from multiple sources and formats.
• Identify, recommend, implement, and drive performance optimizations in the production trading environment.
• Develop tools and automate testing to evaluate innovative trading scenarios and validate hypotheses.
• Collaborate with external vendors on products, features, and technologies for ultra-low-latency trading.

Requirements

• Excellent software development, testing, troubleshooting, and analysis skills using C/C++ and C#.
• Extensive knowledge of computer internals, operating systems, and networking.
• Experience with data analysis in Python using Jupyter Notebooks.
• Experience with Python and PowerShell scripting.
• Strong motivation, meticulousness, clear communication, and curiosity about trading technology.

Nice to have

• Experience in a low-latency trading environment.
• Practical knowledge of BGP, IGMP, PIM, Ethernet, IP, UDP, TCP, and LLDP.
• Experience with FPGAs and low-latency networking technologies such as Solarflare and kernel bypass.
• Knowledge or experience of data center operations.
