Materials Project Manager (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Forecast engineering, materials, and manufacturing requirements and communicate demand to suppliers.
• Coordinate a cross-functional Materials Core Team and product development deliverables across buyers, planners, production control, and engineering.
• Create, release, and update materials strategies for new projects and execute commercialization materials plans.
• Support supplier selection, sourcing, price and delivery negotiations, risk assessments, and supplier performance monitoring.
• Manage materials change control, cost targets, total landed cost indicators, and supplier quality issue resolution.
• Identify critical and long-lead parts, inspection requirements, supplier road maps, and should-cost opportunities.

Requirements

• Conceptual and practical expertise in materials or a related discipline, with basic knowledge of adjacent disciplines.
• Knowledge of best practices and how materials activities integrate with other business functions.
• Ability to solve complex problems using multiple information sources and sound judgment.
• Ability to build consensus and explain difficult or sensitive information.
• Availability for business travel of approximately 20% of the time.
• Relocation is not eligible for this position.
