Distinguished Engineer, Policy Platform (Java/Kubernetes): Designing and modernizing resilient policy-platform services, data architectures, and migration solutions with an accent on distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, and event-driven APIs. What you will do
- Lead the architecture and design of systems powering the policy platform.
- Set technical strategy and execute a roadmap for large-scale servicing modernization, including system and data migration.
- Design and deliver high-scale services, APIs, microservices, data architectures, and event-driven solutions.
- Build and deploy applications in hybrid cloud environments using Kubernetes, cloud-native tools, and diverse data stores.
- Collaborate across engineering and product organizations to solve complex technical problems and influence enterprise direction.
- Mentor engineers, strengthen technical expertise, and educate executives and product stakeholders.
Requirements
- 15+ years of full-stack web development experience with Java, C#, Python, Go, or comparable technologies.
- 10+ years of experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, plus private cloud technologies.
- Deep expertise in architecture, distributed systems, reliability, scaling, microservices, and API- and event-driven architectures.
- Strong knowledge of ETL, SQL, bitemporal data modeling, temporal databases, data observability, traceability, and testing.
- Professional fluency in Java and at least one additional modern object-oriented language; hands-on Docker and Kubernetes experience.
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent education or work experience.
