Buying Systems Analyst - Purchasing Supplier Development (SAP/Power BI): Improving purchasing systems and business processes through root cause analysis, system coordination, and reporting with an accent on SAP, Power BI, Excel, and automated workflows. Focus on troubleshooting inter-system issues, validating requirements, supporting UAT, and translating analytics into actionable business insights.
Location: Saline, Michigan, United States. Applicants must have the right to work in the United States and must not require immigration support or employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.

What you will do
- Evaluate and improve purchasing business processes and systems.
- Troubleshoot cross-system issues and identify root causes.
- Coordinate system projects with IT and business stakeholders.
- Support systems budgets, project tracking, and governance.
- Develop reports, dashboards, and analytics using Power BI, SAP, Excel, and SharePoint.
- Communicate project status and analytical insights to leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, data analytics, computer science, supply chain management, or a related field, or 4+ years of equivalent systems development experience.
- At least 2 years of systems development experience, including requirements gathering, implementation, testing, and issue resolution.
- Experience documenting, managing, and validating business and user requirements and supporting user acceptance testing.
- Experience with data modeling, analysis, and reporting using Power Query, Excel, and Power BI.
- Experience developing automated workflows with Power Automate, UiPath, Alteryx, or similar tools.
- Experience using AI-powered productivity tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude, or Gemini.
Nice to have
- Experience in manufacturing, automotive, or supply chain environments.
- Experience with SAP or other ERP systems and SharePoint collaboration solutions.
- Programming or scripting experience with Python, R, M-Code, or similar technologies.
- Structured problem-solving experience and the ability to communicate technical concepts as actionable business insights.
