What you will do

  • Lead new color and material introductions for body and resin paint operations from laboratory workability through online testing and production approval.
  • Plan trials, conduct quality and color evaluations, and provide recommendations for paint and resin shops.
  • Establish process controls and parameters for new materials and technologies with cross-functional teams.
  • Lead materials-related problem solving across multiple divisions using hirify.global Business Practice methods.
  • Assess cost, production, and environmental impacts of new materials and support paint department objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science or higher in engineering, or equivalent production engineering/manufacturing experience.
  • Experience in paint project management, new color introductions, and color and appearance evaluations.
  • Experience collaborating across functions on vehicle schedules, material or product development, and implementation.
  • Ability to identify root causes and develop countermeasures using TBP thinking.
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays, and shutdown periods and travel up to 30%.
  • Must have the right to work in the United States without current or future hirify.global visa or work authorization sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Background in chemical engineering, materials engineering, chemistry, or materials science.
  • Completed TBP panel, hirify.global Quality process familiarity, or Paint Pilot project experience.
  • Paint laboratory workability evaluation experience.
  • Basic Japanese or Spanish language skills.
