Senior Product Technologist (Semiconductor Metrology)

Location: Rehovot, Israel. On-site role with customer-site work and approximately 20% travel. Relocation is not available.

What you will do

• Serve as the technological focal point for material metrology platforms.
• Lead scientific and experimental work for metrology tools.
• Design and run hands-on experiments in laboratories and at customer sites.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret experimental data rigorously.
• Translate experimental results into technology direction and system requirements.
• Collaborate with Physics, Systems, Algorithms, and Software teams to achieve metrology-grade performance.

Requirements

• PhD preferred or MSc in Physics, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with a strong academic research background.
• Proven hands-on experimental research experience, including experiment design, setup development or adaptation, and data collection and interpretation.
• 10+ years of R&D experience in multidisciplinary academic or industry projects.
• Strong understanding of semiconductor materials, processes, and device technology.
• Curiosity, independence, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional environments.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience developing X-ray techniques, microscopy, spectroscopy, optical systems, or SEM.
• Experience working with customers or external research partners.
