Supervisor Network Control Systems (PTC Operations Center, Tier I Support): Supporting and maintaining the Positive Train Control network infrastructure from the operations center with an accent on incident triage, alarm response, system troubleshooting, and outage resolution. Focus on coordinating repairs across network operations, signal, telecommunications, mechanical teams, vendors, and railway personnel during high-stress rotating-shift operations.
Location: Fort Worth, TX, United States; hybrid schedule with one remote workday per week
Salary: $97,740–$108,600 per year

What you will do
- Respond to radio and telephone calls from Positive Train Control system users.
- Monitor Network Management System alerts and alarms and prioritize incidents as they occur.
- Assist with the installation, configuration, and testing of hardware, software, operating systems, and management systems.
- Initiate incident resolution for PTC infrastructure abnormalities, service interruptions, and system outages.
- Coordinate repairs with network operations, signal, telecommunications, mechanical teams, vendors, other railways, and field personnel.
- Document incidents and resolution actions while communicating professionally with dispatchers, executives, government agencies, and law enforcement.
Requirements
- Availability for 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Availability to work outside scheduled hours and on short notice when needed.
- Ability to learn and understand the PTC network at a system level.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team and in a highly stressful environment.
- Working knowledge of General Operating and Safety rules and proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
Nice to have
- At least two years of railroad experience.
- Experience with computer networking, telecommunications, signaling, locomotive systems, or network operations.
- Bachelor of Science or technical degree in electronics, computer science, or a related technical field.
