Salary: $159,900–$296,900 per year, plus a possible discretionary annual bonus and benefits.

What you will do
- Advocate and lobby for before state legislative and executive branches.
- Develop legislative and regulatory policy positions, draft amendments, prepare testimony, and represent at hearings and policy events.
- Build strategic relationships with elected officials, state agencies, industry partners, trade associations, and advocacy organizations.
- Register as a state lobbyist, manage required reporting and training, and oversee contract lobbyists and association engagement.
- Advise Customer Engagement field ecosystems and internal business partners on external stakeholder interactions and policy objectives.
- Monitor state legislation, regulations, reimbursement decisions, and Medicaid policy developments; prepare briefings and support engagement with Medicaid agencies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 10+ years of legislative and executive-branch advocacy experience working with state governments.
- Residence in California is required; the designated region includes California, Nevada, and Hawaii.
- In-depth knowledge of state governments, legislative processes, political dynamics, and policy issues affecting the company’s portfolio.
- Strong strategic, communication, collaboration, influencing, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to travel approximately 40%, drive a company-provided or personal vehicle, and remain seated for extended periods.
