Senior Data Scientist (Gaming)

Location: Full-time, in-office position based at Rockstar’s NYC headquarters in Downtown Manhattan, New York.

Salary: $121,400–$161,800 USD per year for positions in New York State, including New York City.

What you will do

• Define and document measurement specifications and tracking requirements with website partners.
• Work with stakeholders to identify needs and translate them into actionable data analyses.
• Develop web and player insights at the campaign level for marketing leadership.
• Standardize analytics tracking and design scalable tracking infrastructure.
• Test and validate web analytics data while resolving data issues with technical teams.
• Build reports and dashboards by joining web, game, and business data to explain user behavior and business performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as computer science, statistics, applied mathematics, operations research, or business intelligence.
• 6+ years of experience in web data analysis.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, HTTP requests, and related web technologies.
• 3+ years of experience querying databases with SQL and/or PySpark.
• Experience creating visualizations with business intelligence tools such as Google Data Studio or Tableau.
• Advanced proficiency with Google Analytics 4 or an equivalent web analytics platform, plus strong expertise with Google Tag Manager or an equivalent tag management system.

Nice to have

• Passion for gaming and experience with applied statistics or A/B testing.
• Experience working with Paid Media, Email, Social, SEO, AEO, or e-commerce data.
• Ability to take objectives from conceptualization through execution and maintain a focus on data quality and scalability.
