Location: Remote
Salary: $77,000–$101,000 annual base salary, prorated to $2,961–$3,884 bi-weekly for the short-term position.

What you will do
- Design open-world quests, activities, encounters, and supporting locations for an action RPG.
- Craft gameplay spaces that support creative pillars, exploration, memorable player experiences, and visual composition.
- Prototype, iterate, and polish quests and level designs in collaboration with a cross-functional team.
- Implement quests and level designs in Unreal Engine 5 using Blueprints and basic scripting or coding.
- Own content refinement through feedback collection, iteration notes, bug fixing, and final polish.
- Solve creative and technical challenges within ambiguous production constraints.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a level designer creating levels, worlds, and quests.
- Demonstrable experience with Unreal Engine 5 and Blueprints.
- Understanding of game systems, world spaces, player abilities, signposting, metrics, gameplay flow, and open-world design.
- Ability to collaborate, solve design problems, iterate on layouts, and translate playtest and team feedback into actionable changes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Portfolio link showcasing relevant experience.

- Experience shipping an open-world title.
