Associate - Software Development & Engineering (Java): Supporting and developing software solutions for wealth and advice technology with an accent on Java development, QA testing, requirements analysis, and application resilience. Focus on troubleshooting production systems, designing cloud-compatible components, automating delivery and testing practices, and validating software quality.
Location: Austin, Texas, United States; onsite
Salary: USD $40.87–$42.31 per hour

What you will do
- Develop and test software components in Java according to established engineering standards.
- Support troubleshooting, maintenance, and production support to minimize user disruption.
- Contribute to QA testing, compliance verification, and acceptance validation.
- Analyze, organize, and validate requirements with Product Owners.
- Assist with software and system design, including cloud compatibility.
- Apply development, testing, automation, quality, and performance-tracking practices across delivery teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering.
- Programming experience with Java, scripting, and automation.
- Experience with DevOps tools such as Bamboo, Bitbucket, and GitHub, plus familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Agile methodologies.
- Relational database experience, preferably PostgreSQL.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- Strong communication, analytical, troubleshooting, and teamwork skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with Spring Batch and Spring Boot.
- Experience with Splunk, AppDynamics, or Grafana.
- Experience with Confluence and Jira.
- Experience with Agile ceremonies.
