Medication Nurse

Location: On-site in Bowling Green, Kentucky, USA

Behavioral Health Group operates a network of Joint Commission-accredited treatment centers providing opioid addiction treatment services across 24 states.

What you will do

• Administer methadone according to medical orders and monitor patients after dosing.
• Screen and assess new and current patients for treatment and dosing appropriateness.
• Collect urine specimens, monitor physicals and lab work, and maintain accurate patient records.
• Manage medication shipments, supplies, dosing records, and inventory reconciliation in accordance with DEA and company procedures.
• Report medication discrepancies, support treatment center improvements, and participate in treatment team meetings and training.
• Train new nurses and help maintain quality, regulatory, and accreditation standards.

Requirements

• Active LPN/LVN license in Kentucky; the position may also be filled by an RN.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Accurate data entry skills and basic computer knowledge.
• Ability to work independently under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and react quickly.
• Knowledge of dosing equipment, centrifuges, physical assessment tools, test strips, breathalyzers, and standard office equipment.

Nice to have

• Experience in chemical addiction treatment.
• Phlebotomist certification, if required for the role.
