Software Engineer II (AI & Agentic Systems)

Location: Remote in Poland. Applicants must be based in Poland or have sponsorship to live and work in Poland. Periodic attendance at a hirify.global office or collaborative work location may be required for certain events.

What you will do

• Build production systems where AI agents author changes to real code within deterministic gates, with independent verification and full audit trails.
• Break customer and platform problems into deliverable work and own solutions end to end within an agile team.
• Design trust boundaries, blast-radius controls, and least-privilege models for automation with elevated production access.
• Build evaluation and observability systems to measure accuracy and detect silent degradation in non-deterministic systems.
• Generate auditable evidence that security controls worked and collaborate with security engineering and PDD developers.
• Apply engineering best practices, solve complex problems, and support the development of other engineers.

Requirements

• Based in Poland or sponsored to live and work in Poland.
• At least 3 years of commercial experience building enterprise-grade software and at least 3 years using Java or Python.
• Hands-on experience with LLM APIs and agentic frameworks, including tool calling, multi-step execution, and structured output.
• Experience using AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code.
• Strong understanding of trust boundaries, blast radius, least privilege, vulnerability management, severity, exploitability, SLAs, and exception handling.
• Experience in agile organizations and with build systems such as Jenkins or Bamboo, plus solid testing and QA practices.

Nice to have

• Software supply chain security experience, including SBOMs, provenance, attestation, image signing, verification, and policy-as-code.
• Experience running AI coding agents at repository scale and building systems that make their output trustworthy.
• Familiarity with AI governance in security contexts and regulated environments such as SOC 2 or FedRAMP.
