Solution Architect (Automotive ADAS)

Location: Shanghai, China; hybrid work with two office days per week and three days available from either the office or home

What you will do

• Own end-to-end technical solutions for ADAS map and SDK opportunities, from discovery and architecture through PoC, integration, validation, production readiness, and post-launch evolution.
• Lead customer workshops covering ADAS and automated-driving use cases, vehicle architecture, safety requirements, software platforms, and integration constraints.
• Design architectures combining ADAS road and lane models, map streaming, dynamic services, eHorizon, map matching, route projection, and ADASIS-based data exchange.
• Guide OEM and Tier-1 engineering teams integrating map data and SDK components into IVI, ADAS domain controllers, middleware, and cloud-to-vehicle platforms.
• Lead technical PoCs and demonstrations, define acceptance criteria, manage risks and dependencies, and coordinate delivery across product, map, SDK, validation, sales, and program teams.
• Create reusable integration assets and mentor support engineers and sales teams to improve technical readiness and customer self-sufficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Robotics, Geomatics, or a related discipline.
• Typically 7+ years of relevant experience, including 3+ years in automotive ADAS, autonomous driving, digital maps, navigation, or in-vehicle software architecture.
• Strong understanding of ADAS and automated-driving architecture, including localization, planning, perception interfaces, eHorizon, map-aided driving, and vehicle-domain integration.
• Experience with automotive map standards and formats such as NDS, NDS.Live, ADASIS v2/v3, OGP, PBF, or OpenLR; strong software engineering skills in C++ and/or Java/Kotlin; working knowledge of Python.
• Experience with Linux, QNX, Android Automotive, AUTOSAR Adaptive, ROS 2, or comparable embedded automotive platforms, including distributed-system and integration troubleshooting.
• Fluent Chinese and English required, with the ability to create and deliver technical content in both languages; willingness to travel for customer workshops and critical milestones.

Nice to have

• Experience with digital map, navigation, location-platform, ADAS, autonomous-driving, automotive middleware, or intelligent-vehicle companies.
• Experience supporting China OEMs, AD Tier-1 suppliers, or autonomous-driving companies from PoC to SOP.
• Experience with Qualcomm Snapdragon Ride, NVIDIA DRIVE, Mobileye EyeQ, Horizon Robotics Journey, or Black Sesame platforms.
• Knowledge of ISO 26262, SOTIF, ISA, Euro NCAP use cases, GIS tools, simulation, vehicle testing, or sensor-derived map validation.
