Principal Game Designer (Merge 2)

What you will do

• Own the creative vision for a new Merge 2 game and align it with product goals and stakeholder expectations.
• Design the core loop, progression systems, meta-game, features, economies, and monetization systems from the ground up.
• Lead ideation and translate player motivations and behavior into user experience stories, wireframes, and feature designs.
• Guide features from concept through implementation in partnership with product, engineering, and art.
• Mentor and develop a skilled design team while improving design tools, processes, and pipeline efficiency.
• Use player feedback and analytics to balance the economy and refine systems during soft launch and live operations.

Requirements

• Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Advanced mathematical skills and experience creating formulas for game systems.
• Expertise in designing systems, core loops, economies, meta-games, and features that influence player behavior and product performance.
• Experience working on live-service games and adjusting designs based on feedback from an active player community.
• Significant game industry experience, including meaningful contributions to multiple released titles.
• Extensive experience leading design teams and a proven record of shipping games.
