Senior Software Engineer, Patch Engineering & Vulnerability Remediation

What you will do

• Own the hardened container image pipeline for demanding regulated and air-gapped deployments.
• Build automated workflows from vulnerability scanning through remediation, including deduplication, ownership routing, and SLA tracking.
• Generate SBOMs, VEX statements, and provenance artifacts for every release.
• Document evidence-based decisions about vulnerabilities that do not require remediation.
• Set the technical direction for future patch engineering and vulnerability remediation tooling.

Requirements

• Experience shipping and maintaining software or container images in regulated, on-premises, or air-gapped environments.
• Deep knowledge of container build systems, base image strategy, and reproducible builds.
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes and Helm packaging.
• Hands-on experience with vulnerability scanning and provenance tooling, including the ability to distinguish real risks from scanner noise.
• Strong Go and/or Python skills for automation and patching upstream open-source dependencies.
• Clear technical writing for external auditors and customer security teams.
