Finance Manager (Advertising) (Commercial Finance): Owning the end-to-end advertising finance cycle for DAZN Japan, including forecasting, revenue recognition, campaign costs, margins, debtors, and yield management with an accent on advertising analytics, production costs, and content ROI. Focus on building financial models, linking engagement performance to ad inventory, and providing evidence-based recommendations for pricing, investment, and commercial decisions.

What you will do
- Own advertising revenue forecasting and financial models across inventory types, including volume, rate, and yield drivers.
- Track booked and pipeline revenue against budget and forecast, providing weekly advertising outlooks to local and central leadership.
- Manage month-end advertising close, revenue recognition, receivables, ageing balances, and billing issues.
- Produce monthly advertising KPI reporting and manage campaign cost and direct-cost margin analysis.
- Build visibility into Japan production costs, rights obligations, vendor structures, and live-content delivery costs.
- Evaluate engagement performance and content ROI to support ad inventory management, commissioning, investment, and pricing decisions.
Requirements
- Experience combining accounting and commercial finance responsibilities, including month-end, cash management, forecasting, and financial modelling.
- Experience managing revenue or advertising finance, including sales forecasting, pricing, and revenue recognition, is advantageous.
- Experience presenting financial insight to senior leadership and influencing decisions at MD or C-suite level.
- Strong accounting fundamentals, commercial judgement, cost-base management, KPI reporting, and debtor management skills.
- Advanced Excel and strong analytical and financial modelling skills; experience with BI tools such as Looker is advantageous.
- Business-level Japanese and English are required.
