Lead Data Engineer (GCP)

What you will do

• Architect and build data pipelines, data platforms, and data warehouses on Google Cloud Platform.
• Act as a GCP technical consultant and trainer for client engineering teams.
• Join client engineering teams and implement modern data engineering practices.
• Lead and mentor engineers while guiding data teams in agile practices.
• Manage stakeholder communication, conflict resolution, and holistic project delivery.
• Own the end-to-end development lifecycle, including presales activities and proof-of-concept delivery.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience as a software or data architect with hands-on coding experience.
• Strong knowledge of Java or Python and SQL, with continued involvement in implementation.
• At least 3 years of experience with Google Cloud Platform or professional Google Cloud certifications.
• Practical experience with BigQuery, Airflow, Dataflow, Dataplex, Looker, and dbt Core or Dataform.
• Experience in an IT services or consultancy company.
• Strong professional communication skills in English and current hands-on knowledge of agentic AI tools.
