Cloud Security Engineer (AWS)

What you will do

• Lead security architecture assessments and hardening for AWS cloud platforms.
• Define and maintain cloud security baselines, policies, and standards.
• Monitor IAM, networking, storage, and compute security posture and assess vulnerabilities and configuration risks.
• Own vulnerability remediation plans, priorities, tracking, and outcome verification across engineering and operations teams.
• Build cloud security monitoring, alerting, and automated detection using CSPM and CNAPP tools.
• Participate in incident response, produce root cause analyses, and communicate cloud risk posture to management.

Requirements

• 5+ years of cloud security or information security experience, including at least 3 years focused on AWS.
• Strong knowledge of AWS IAM, VPC, S3, EC2, KMS, CloudTrail, GuardDuty, and Security Hub security practices.
• Experience identifying vulnerabilities, assessing risk, and applying CIS Benchmark, NIST, or MITRE ATT&CK for Cloud frameworks.
• Proven ability to drive remediation across teams, with strong communication and project coordination skills.
• Familiarity with at least one CSPM or CNAPP tool, such as Wiz, Prisma Cloud, or AWS Security Hub.

• Scripting and automation skills with Python, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
