Game Engineer (Middle) (Unity)

Location: Ha Noi, Vietnam; hybrid schedule with two remote days on Tuesday and Wednesday

What you will do

• Implement art, sound, and effect assets in Unity while preserving the creative vision and respecting platform limitations.
• Tune and refine game features and refresh live game content.
• Bridge creative and engineering teams to bring game concepts into production.
• Diagnose and solve technical issues during development, QA, and go-live.
• Research, document, and implement production techniques and best practices, and train team members.
• Optimize workflows, assets, memory usage, and performance for a strong user experience.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a similar role or comparable industry position.
• Experience with game or mobile game development pipelines.
• Technical knowledge of visual effects, scripting, computer graphics, and 2D and occasional 3D production processes.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Strong technical background, attention to detail, flexibility, organization, and a proactive attitude.
• Interest in optimizing assets for narrow-bandwidth or low-performance environments.

Nice to have

• Ability to write JSON or Lua scripts for art-to-game pipeline tools.
• Knowledge of current production technologies and Adobe Photoshop.
