What you will do
- Lead the evolution and governance of Schwab’s digital design system across web, email, and mobile channels.
- Develop and maintain design patterns, components, foundational elements, documentation, and usage guidelines.
- Structure design assets to support automation, personalization, rapid experimentation, and AI-assisted design.
- Use user research and data insights to refine the system and improve client experiences.
- Partner with UX research, engineering, brand, marketing, internal stakeholders, and external partners.
- Drive adoption through design guidance, training, enablement resources, and change management.
Requirements
- 5–7+ years of relevant experience as a user experience designer, user interaction designer, or in a related role.
- Expertise with digital design systems, atomic-based design, and front-end technologies including Tailwind, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React.
- Proficiency in Figma, including creating components and documenting design work.
- Experience with Jira and agile product delivery teams.
- In-depth knowledge of layout, typography, color, composition, and current WCAG accessibility standards.
- Ability to lead cross-functional discovery and change management while using data and UX research to inform design decisions.
