Program Director / Licensed Adult Day Program Operations

Location: Rohnert Park, CA, USA; physically present in the program and on the floor

Salary: $80,000–$89,169.70 per year

What you will do

• Lead daily operations, staffing, scheduling, payroll, budget oversight, and service delivery for a high-needs adult day program.
• Provide hands-on leadership on the program floor, coach staff, and support escalations involving aggression, self-injury, elopement, or property destruction.
• Train, develop, and hold staff accountable while building a consistent and engaged workplace.
• Develop workshop-style activities that promote independence and life skills.
• Implement person-centered service plans, behavior support strategies, and behavioral interventions.
• Maintain documentation, oversee audits and quality assurance, and coordinate with Regional Centers, Community Care Licensing, families, residential providers, and community partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in human services or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in a human services delivery system and 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience.
• At least 2 years of experience or training supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in an adult day program or residential setting.
• Experience with behavioral intervention, trauma-informed care, person-centered planning, ISP/IPP development, and behavior support plans.
• Knowledge of Regional Centers, Community Care Licensing, Title 17, Title 22, compliance, audits, and regulatory requirements.
• Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, ability to lift and transfer up to 50 pounds, digital literacy, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice to have

• Experience managing teams of 10 or more employees.
• Direct experience in a licensed Adult Day Program, crisis home, Level 4, EBHS, or other high-behavior setting.
• Strong background in staff coaching, performance management, and accountability.
