MEAL Officer

What you will do

• Design and manage impact measurement systems, MEAL frameworks, monitoring plans, indicators, databases, and data collection tools.
• Develop baseline and end-line assessments, qualitative and quantitative methodologies, analytical plans, reports, and learning products.
• Monitor programme performance through field visits, outcome harvesting, reviews, evaluations, data quality checks, and corrective actions.
• Manage beneficiary feedback, complaints, accountability, and participatory mechanisms in line with MEAL standards and Core Humanitarian Standard principles.
• Provide technical support, training, coaching, and capacity building to hirify.global staff, programme teams, and implementing partners.
• Support programme design, proposal development, donor reporting, learning, and evidence-based adaptive management.

Requirements

• Advanced bachelor’s degree in development studies, social science, or a related discipline with at least 3 years of relevant MEAL experience, or a diploma with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in monitoring, evaluation, and learning within development or humanitarian programmes, including areas such as WASH, FES, Protection, or Gender.
• Proven ability to design and implement MEAL systems, frameworks, plans, tools, and methodologies.
• Strong quantitative and qualitative data collection, analysis, reporting, and data quality assurance skills.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis software, complex syntax, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Survey CTO.
• Proficiency in English and Arabic, both verbal and written, is required.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with the Core Humanitarian Standard.
• Experience working with local partners and in WASH, FES, Protection, or Gender programmes.
• Strong organizational, time management, adaptability, and collaboration skills.
