TL;DR
Oil & Gas Digital Transformation Consultant (AI Agents): Supporting client discovery conversations and identifying AI, automation, and agentic AI opportunities across oil and gas operations with an accent on predictive maintenance, HSE reporting, field operations, asset performance, and production intelligence. Focus on asking industry-specific questions, qualifying client needs, and advising leadership on operational pain points and solution positioning.

Location: Remote in Latin America: Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Guyana, Venezuela, and Peru

What you will do

  • Join occasional client-facing discovery meetings with the CEO and leadership team.
  • Provide subject-matter expertise on oil and gas operations, digital transformation, and AI use cases.
  • Identify opportunities for AI agents, automation, and analytics across upstream, downstream, HSE, maintenance, production, and capital project workflows.
  • Ask industry-specific questions to qualify client needs and clarify operational pain points.
  • Advise internally on industry context, client challenges, and solution positioning.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry, ideally with an operator, EPC, oilfield services company, or major consulting firm.
  • Strong background in upstream, downstream, or industrial operations.
  • Experience in at least two areas including predictive maintenance, HSE compliance reporting, capital project data management, field operations optimization, or production intelligence.
  • Familiarity with oil and gas data environments such as OSIsoft PI, SCADA, AVEVA, SAP PM, Maximo, or similar platforms.
  • Working knowledge of AI, automation, machine learning, or AI agents applied to asset management, inspection workflows, or operational analytics.
  • Advanced English and strong customer-facing communication skills.

Nice to have

  • PhD or Master’s degree in petroleum engineering, chemical engineering, industrial operations, environmental science, data science, or a related field.
  • Experience with digital transformation programs at major oil and gas companies or consulting firms.
