Asset Management - Baggage Team Lead

Location: Dublin Airport, Dublin, Ireland; onsite, shift-based 24/7 schedule with 12-hour shifts across a 4-week cycle

hirify.global provides asset management and operational support for Dublin Airport infrastructure, including baggage handling systems.

What you will do

• Lead the operation and maintenance of Dublin Airport’s baggage handling systems and baggage control room.
• Monitor BHS equipment through SCADA and related control systems, investigate root causes of jams and stoppages, and track baggage operations across terminals.
• Own system performance, asset availability, maintenance completion, response times, resolution times, and downtime targets.
• Lead inspections, health checks, reporting, shift handovers, and continuous improvement initiatives with the asset management leadership and planning teams.
• Coordinate stakeholders and contractors during BHS or associated system failures, provide technical guidance, and supervise safe maintenance work.
• Lead the shift team through scheduling, performance management, safety briefings, training, and quality assurance activities.

Requirements

• Minimum three years of experience after completing an electrician apprenticeship, ideally including Team Lead or step-up experience.
• Comprehensive technical understanding of baggage handling and related asset types, including conveyors, automated sortation units, PLCs, SCADA, HMIs, and EDS X-ray machines.
• Proven leadership, communication, influencing, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and CMMS systems, including maintenance scheduling, work orders, asset history, and compliance records.
• Strong health and safety focus, with the ability to lead teams and contractors by example.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, rotating shifts, out-of-hours call-ins, and remote technical support when required.
