Principle HR Data Analyst

Location: Hybrid, Eastleigh, with flexible working available within the UK

Salary: £56,000–£84,000 per year, depending on experience

What you will do

• Support the design and implementation of Databricks as the central HR data repository and reporting source.
• Ingest, validate, transform, structure, and migrate employee, payroll, and historical HR data from multiple legacy systems.
• Develop data models, business rules, reports, dashboards, and visualisations for operational and strategic workforce reporting.
• Design, test, and implement APIs, data feeds, and integrations between HR systems and downstream business applications.
• Identify and resolve data quality issues while ensuring data integrity, governance, security, GDPR, and retention compliance.
• Document technical solutions and processes, and coach HR Systems and Data team members through knowledge transfer and mentoring.

Requirements

• Proven experience delivering data migration, including data mapping, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation.
• Experience with Databricks, data warehouses, data lakes, or similar enterprise data platforms.
• Strong SQL and data analysis skills, plus experience with Tableau, Power BI, or similar visualisation tools.
• Experience designing or supporting system integrations, APIs, and data feeds; knowledge of Azure, SFTP, API integration frameworks, and modern data architecture.
• Experience working with complex datasets from multiple source systems and clearly documenting requirements, processes, and technical solutions.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and experience providing coaching, mentoring, and knowledge transfer.

Nice to have

• Experience implementing Dayforce or another cloud-based HCM or payroll platform.
• Understanding of HR and payroll processes and data structures.
