Deputy CISO - Operational Delivery (Telecom Security)

What you will do

• Lead the Cyber Defense organisation, including SOC, threat detection and response, incident response, vulnerability management, and security engineering.
• Serve as Incident Commander for significant production security incidents and improve global response playbooks and readiness programs.
• Oversee SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, IAM/PAM, network security, and cloud security platforms, including technical standards and hardening guidelines.
• Own telecom security domains covering network core protection, SS7/Diameter signaling, 4G/5G security, OSS/BSS, and cloud-native telecom environments.
• Manage the security risk register, penetration tests, red-team exercises, and remediation of identified findings.
• Embed security into architecture, SDLC, engineering change processes, and GSMA SGP-compliant product delivery.

Requirements

• 10+ years of cybersecurity experience and 5+ years of operational leadership in SecOps, Cyber Defense, or Security Architecture.
• Production incident command experience, preferably in global telecommunications or distributed high-availability infrastructure.
• Deep knowledge of telecom security, including network core protection, SS7/Diameter signaling, 4G/5G, OSS/BSS, and cloud-native telecom environments.
• Experience implementing and managing enterprise SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, and IAM/PAM platforms at scale.
• Operational experience with at least two of GSMA SAS-SM, NIS2, GDPR, MiFID II, or DORA, including audit evidence, notifications, or certification cycles.
• Experience leading hybrid internal/MSSP SOC models and MDR partner relationships; familiarity with Zero Trust, Secure-by-Design, and security automation.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with GSMA SGP.22, SGP.32, and FS.18 standards.
• CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or GCIH certification.
