TL;DR
QHSE Associate (Safety Audits and Regulatory Compliance): Reviewing and verifying supplier safety, health, environmental programs, procedures, and training documentation for compliance with legislation and industry requirements, with an accent on manual audits, deficiency remediation, and customer guidance. Focus on interpreting regulatory requirements, managing audit closures and service-level targets, and completing 50+ audits per month.
Location: Calgary, Alberta, Canada. A hybrid schedule of 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home is required for candidates within commuting distance of an office; candidates outside an office area may be considered for remote work. Travel of up to 30% is required.

What you will do
- Conduct desktop safety and health program, policy, procedure, and training audits for suppliers in the platform.
- Assess documentation against applicable federal, state, provincial, regulatory, industry, and operator requirements.
- Help customers and suppliers close audit gaps and deficiencies by providing recommendations and regulatory guidance.
- Perform customer verifications and support audit closure.
- Respond to supplier and customer inquiries, document correspondence and complaints, and escalate concerns when required.
- Complete at least 50 audits per month while meeting quality and service-level targets.
Requirements
- 1–5 years of relevant safety-profession experience, an internship in safety, health, or environmental work, or contractor prequalification verification experience is strongly preferred.
- Ability to interpret and apply federal, state, and provincial legislation, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Strong written and oral communication, problem-solving, analytical, prioritization, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to learn online software systems, use Windows PCs and related applications, and manage workload fluctuations and intensive deadlines.
- Reliable transportation and regular, predictable attendance are required.
- Completion of OSHA 30-hour training; a safety degree, certification, or relevant regulatory experience is beneficial.

- Experience with environmental, oil and gas, MSHA, maritime, shipyard, or related regulations.
- Experience developing or revising safety and health programs.
- Knowledge of the industries served by .
