Manager Finance Controller

Location: Brussels, Belgium. Candidates must have the legal right to work in Belgium or be eligible for sponsorship on a case-by-case basis, and must be physically located in Belgium by the first day of employment or shortly before the start date.

What you will do

• Lead and coach Project Finance Controllers across Europe and Asia, building capabilities in project financial management, tools, and compliance.
• Oversee project financial performance, forecasting, re-forecasting, cost-to-complete reviews, margin optimization, and variance analysis.
• Partner with Project Managers, Directors, Treasury, and senior leadership on financial discipline, reporting, risks, opportunities, billing, collections, and cash flow.
• Review contracts and maintain project data in the ERP system through setup, amendments, variations, and closure.
• Ensure compliant revenue recognition and prepare management reporting packages covering revenue, costs, margins, and commentary.
• Lead audits, strengthen internal controls, support month-end close, and drive process standardization and automation.

Requirements

• MBA, M.Com, CMA, or an equivalent finance qualification.
• 8–10 years of experience in project finance or controllership within services or consultancy.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, and ASC 606.
• Proven team management experience in a matrix, multi-country environment across Europe and Asia.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with Power BI and financial or ERP systems; Maconomy is strongly preferred.
• High numerical accuracy, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and excellent stakeholder management abilities.
