Scriptwriter - SolarBalls (Animation)

What you will do

• Write and deliver 5–6 high-quality SolarBalls scripts per month, typically for approximately 8-minute long-form episodes.
• Develop stories and dialogue balancing comedy, drama, science, education, and character development within the established SolarBalls voice and universe.
• Maintain continuity across characters, relationships, lore, and ongoing narrative arcs while identifying pacing and story issues.
• Research scientific and historical concepts accurately and integrate them naturally into entertaining scripts.
• Collaborate with the Script Editor, Researcher, and Alvaro Calmet to refine scripts, incorporate feedback, and prepare final production-ready drafts.
• Write shorter scripts for YouTube Shorts and brand partnership integrations when needed.

Requirements

• Professional experience as a scriptwriter, screenwriter, television writer, animation writer, game writer, or in a closely related narrative role.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating storytelling, dialogue, character development, and narrative structure.
• Experience working on an established series, IP, or fictional universe.
• Strong understanding of story structure, pacing, character arcs, comedy, drama, and narrative continuity.
• Excellent written English and natural dialogue, with strong research skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, respond to substantial feedback, make sound creative decisions, and consistently meet production deadlines.

Nice to have

• Formal training or professional experience in screenwriting, film, animation, television, games, or a related field.
• Experience working with directors, producers, or creative leads.
