Coordinator, Digital Health (Ethiopia)

Location: Onsite in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia; open only to candidates currently located in and authorized to work in Ethiopia. Travel to remote regions of Ethiopia, including overnight visits, may be required.

Salary: $13,094–$24,733 gross annually, depending on equivalent experience and subject to statutory taxes.

What you will do

• Coordinate deployment of digital health tools, including Extension Essentials and HEP Assist AI, to Health Extension Workers across Ethiopian districts.
• Plan and support digital health training, including platform deployment, learner support, account creation, and device installation.
• Maintain implementation plans, dashboards, learner synchronization and course-performance tracking, and data collection processes.
• Provide field and remote technical support, troubleshoot applications and equipment, and report issues through relevant tracking systems.
• Test software releases, plugins, learning platforms, hardware, and digital interventions, including regression testing and post-release feedback.
• Support Moodle course updates, software configuration, system integration, and migration activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering, statistics, mathematics, or a related field.
• At least three years of experience with IT-related projects and digital health system design and implementation in the field.
• Experience with data entry, data quality assurance, data cleaning, relational databases, dashboard development, and monitoring and evaluation.
• Experience with project management, initiative, problem-solving, and technical troubleshooting.
• Currently located in and authorized to work in Ethiopia.
• Willingness and ability to travel to remote areas of Ethiopia, sometimes overnight.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of community health systems and Ethiopia’s Health Extension Worker program.
• Experience building and editing Moodle LMS courses.
• Experience analyzing data and developing dashboards with tools such as Data Studio.
• Strong communication skills for gathering requirements and explaining them to employees and third-party providers.
