Junior OSINT Producer (6 Months FTC)

What you will do

• Find, verify and source user-generated content from a wide range of social media platforms.
• Use OSINT techniques to verify locations, events, imagery and video.
• Identify, trace and verify people and organisations using open-source information.
• Develop original story ideas using OSINT, data and digital investigative techniques.
• Collaborate with the Data & Forensics team and the wider newsroom to produce video-first journalism for digital, social and TV platforms.
• Monitor current news stories and suggest coverage opportunities.

Requirements

• Demonstrable OSINT and verification skills, supported by examples of open-source investigations or story verification.
• Some newsroom or journalism experience.
• Understanding of geolocation, social media verification and digital investigative techniques.
• Strong research skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
• Appropriate right to work in the UK is required; visa sponsorship is not offered.
