Senior Software Engineer, Observability Platform

Location: Onsite in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

What you will do

• Build and enhance tools, frameworks, and pipelines for monitoring, logging, and tracing across hirify.global's systems.
• Integrate new technologies and define observability standards, including SLIs, SLOs, monitors, alerts, and dashboards.
• Embed observability practices into the software development lifecycle and improve system resilience.
• Debug complex systems and design solutions that scale with high traffic and data volumes.
• Participate in on-call rotations and improve post-incident analysis through enhanced observability capabilities.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 1 year in platform engineering, observability, or SRE.
• Proficiency in Go, Python, Java, or a similar programming language.
• Hands-on experience with DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Jaeger, or OpenTelemetry.
• Knowledge of distributed systems, microservices architecture, cloud platforms, Terraform, Ansible, Linux systems, and operational scripting.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and clearly explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Good written and verbal English and a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
