Senior Cloud Software Engineer (Cloud Infrastructure)

Salary: $133,450–$197,200 USD annually; US Premium Markets: $157,000–$232,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Architect, build, deploy, and maintain scalable, highly available distributed infrastructure.
• Develop a cloud-native platform on public cloud providers and automate cloud resource management.
• Optimize compute, storage, networking, and overall cloud cost efficiency.
• Develop reliable, high-performance, and cost-effective infrastructure solutions for the SaaS platform.
• Build tooling that provides business stakeholders with cost-efficiency insights.
• Collaborate with multiple ClickHouse engineering teams on large-scale technical initiatives.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience building and operating scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems.
• Software development experience with Go, C, C++, Java, or another object-oriented language.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience developing cloud infrastructure services, preferably with Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of networking, security, encryption, access controls, VPNs, firewalls, load balancers, SOC 2, and GDPR.
• Experience leading and delivering large-scope technical projects, debugging production systems, and collaborating with global engineering teams.

Nice to have

• Experience developing cloud-native edge or service mesh services with Envoy and Istio.
