TL;DR
Android Software Engineer (Android/Kotlin): Building Android platform foundations, developer experience solutions, build systems, and observability tools for Vinted’s marketplace app with an accent on platform stability, scalability, and future-proof architecture. Focus on enabling Android engineering teams, designing Kotlin and Kotlin Multiplatform solutions, and building comprehensive unit, integration, snapshot, and UI testing practices.
Location: Kaunas or Vilnius, Lithuania. Hybrid work is available, with 2 days in the office recommended but not enforced.
Salary: €3,558–€4,808 gross per month

What you will do
- Shape Android platform features that provide the foundation for a world-class marketplace app.
- Create developer experience solutions that enable Android engineering teams to develop and ship features faster.
- Work on Android build systems, observability tools, and technical solutions for platform stability and scalability.
- Collaborate through GitHub pull requests and code reviews.
- Implement unit, integration, snapshot, and UI testing.
- Support critical platform projects with the Android Staff Engineer and other technology engineers.
Requirements
- Deep understanding of software engineering principles and Android-specific technologies.
- Experience with Android architecture, Kotlin coroutines, software architecture, and design patterns.
- Ability to understand solution trade-offs and maintain strong attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn and master new technologies and concepts.
- Experience or willingness to work with Android, Kotlin, and Kotlin Multiplatform.
